One of the things that make Neverball stand out right from the start is the large and diverse type of levels. You have levels that are very realistic but at the same time some other levels are plain crazy, with numerous neons and a great design that makes them stand out.
No matter the level you play, the main idea in Neverball is the same, you need to guide the ball (marble) from the starting point to the end of the level, as fast as possible! The game is a puzzle and action game at the same time, because you to need strategy as well as precision in order to pull things through.
The more you advance into Neverball, the more you realize is that the game has numerous challenges placed in front of you. For example, levels tend to become larger and larger, but at the same time the objectives get harder as well. You have a coin goal in each level, and a limited time to go through the whole level in order to acquire them.
What makes Neverball stand out is definitely the gameplay. Neverball has a very distinct gameplay, because you use a marble to roll around. Due to that, you have to follow carefully designed patterns, which sometime include going down through ramps or jumping, but thankfully you can control the speed without a problem.
Speaking of that, the controls are very simple, in fact all you need to learn are only a few basic buttons and that's it. It all comes to the movement controls and jumping, with few other control otherwise. Then again, to be honest, you don't need more than that!
Neverball can be seen as an exciting challenge as you play, but at the same time it also offers a wide range of interesting choices. The game has been created with a great quality in mind, and thankfully it has a ton of levels to go through which does manage to add a lot of value to the title!
Graphically, Neverball looks really well if you take into consideration the age of the game. The level design is nice and colorful, ball design is spectacular and at the same time everything combines together seamlessly in order to provide us with a great experience. The sounds are also nice, sometimes funny and a little goofy, but they do match the overall experience of the game and that's all what matters in the end.
As you can see, Neverball is a great and exciting experience for everyone that want to test themselves into a battle of skills and challenges. Far from being obtrusive, the game does a stellar job when it comes to providing a lot of content and a great gameplay, so if you are looking for a great and fun experience, Neverball is exactly what you need!
